Si hay una compañía a la que esta pandemia le ha beneficiado económicamente, esa es Nintendo, que ha presentado nuevos datos financieros donde se refleja que su buena racha sigue adelante y con cifras realmente sorprendentes. Estos nuevos números se presentaron ayer jueves 6 de agosto debido al cierre de trimestre.
La compañía reveló que entre los meses abril, mayo y junio lograron obtener ganancias de hasta 1.37 mil millones de dólares. Esto representa un aumento de 428% en comparación a las cifras del mismo trimestre de 2019. En total de ventas en lo que va del año, se contabiliza el doble que el año pasado con 358 mil millones de dólares, en gran parte esto debido al éxito del juego de Switch ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’.
Las ventas de este título continúan siendo fuertes, sin pérdida de impulso. El juego fue nuestro mayor éxito de ventas este trimestre, contribuyendo en gran medida al crecimiento general de las ventas de software.

Desde que salió al mercado, ya se han vendido 22.4 millones de copias de este codiciado juego. Incluso estos número lo han colocado como el segundo juego más vendido de Nintendo en la historia, solo por debajo (pero acercándose poco a poco) de ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’ con 26.7 millones de unidades vendidas.
