Siete meses antes de lo que se tenía previsto, llegará a los cines la secuela de ‘Maléfica’, película de 2014 que fue llamativa por mostrar la otra cara de la historia de ‘La Bella Durmiente’, específicamente desde el punto de vista de la bruja que le lanzó el hechizo a la princesa Aurora.
‘Maleficient: Mistress of Evil’ es el nombre oficial de esta segunda parte que se estrenará el 18 de octubre en los cines de Estados Unidos y en la cual la actriz Angelina Jolie regresa a interpretar al personaje principal. El rodaje de la película finalizó en agosto de 2018.
Aunque no hay detalles oficiales, se cree que en esta secuela se mostrarán las nuevas amenazas que asechan el páramo, lugar donde habitan seres mágicos como hadas y demás criaturas que se encuentran bajo la protección de Maléfica y Aurora (de acuerdo al final de la primera cinta).
Joachim Rønning (‘Piratas del Caribe: La venganza de Salazar’) es el director de esta nueva aventura de Disney, en la cual veremos rostros conocidos como Michelle Pfeiffer, Harris Dickinson, Chitwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein y Robert Lindsay.
