La franquicia de John Wick ha ido ganando cada vez más adeptos, una violencia elegante y tensión de principio a fin es lo que parece llevar a mucha gente al cine a ver las aventuras (y matanzas) del personaje interpretado por Keanu Reeves. Sin embargo, la entrega número 3 ha recibido elogios no solo de los fans, sino también de la crítica.
Podríamos enumerar muchas razones por las que esta fórmula está funcionando de forma excelente, pero una de las que tiene más peso definitivamente sería la pasión y el amor que tiene el director Chad Stahelski, quien ya había mencionado que él continuará haciendo películas de John Wick mientras el público siga yendo a verlas.
Y precisamente gracias a los $56.82 millones que recaudó ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum’ en su presentación debut y un total mundial de $93.31 millones hasta el momento, es que Stahelski tendrá que seguir cumpliendo con su palabra y ya se ha confirmado que se encuentra en desarrollo una cuarta parte de John Wick, la cual se estrenará el 21 de mayo de 2021.
Seguramente Chad Stahelski ya tiene muy claro el camino por el que continuará esta saga, después de todo la química entre él y Keanu Reeves es más que evidente. «Me gusta hacer estas películas porque no hay límite. Creamos nuestra propia mitología y tenemos un estudio que se mantiene fuera de nuestro camino y nos apoya en las decisiones descabelladas. La gente va a ver la película y esta gana dinero y regresan a nosotros; Keanu y yo tenemos ideas durante días. Podría vivir aquí por el resto de mi carrera. Si a la gente le gusta y quiere ver más, podría pensar en formas mucho peores de gastar su carrera. Pero, ya sabes, estamos en el negocio del entretenimiento. Dejaremos que la audiencia se dé cuenta de eso», explicó el director.
