La película que marcó la infancia de muchos ahora viene en 3D, hecha con mucho cariño para esos fans viejos y también para atraer a los nuevos. La historia es uno de los puntos buenos de la película ya que es muy apegada a la original; se añadieron algunas escenas y se eliminaron otras, pero, en esencia el guion es el mismo.
El apartado visual del Rey León es completamente impresionante.Hay momentos de la película donde uno puede creer que está viendoun documental de National Geographic; los escenarios se ven preciosos y los animales adorables.
Una de mis preocupaciones giraba en torno a cómo iban a realizar la icónica escena de Mufasa hablándole desde las nubes a Simba. Sin embargo, las preocupaciones fueron en vano porque la ejecución fue genial y apostaron por una combinación de nubes con rayos para crear la silueta de la cara de Mufasa.
La banda sonora sobrepasa las expectativas, recreando canciones emblemáticas como Circle of life, Can you feel the love tonigh y por supuesto Hakuna Matata.
Las voces por lo menos en inglés están muy bien logradas, no superan a las originales, pero uno se llega a acostumbrar. Una voz que realmente quedó a deber fue la voz de Scar a la que le falta ese toque siniestro que tiene en la versión animada, también la voz de Simba adulto que me hubiese gustado fuese un poco más grave para brindarle la imponencia característica de su adultez.
La película es especial para ir a verla con niños, pues entretiene tanto a estos como a sus padres. Me parece que Disney debería hacer más películas así, sin tocar el guion y mejorando la experiencia. Ya quedará en el consumidor final cuál prefiera, la fábula por sus simpáticas caras y la tremenda nostalgia o el remake que es un poco más realista; personalmente yo prefiero esta versión porque soy amante de los animales y me gustó mucho ver como los hicieron.
La enorme fidelidad de esta obra, tomando la sabia decisión de no echar a perder un producto tan bien hecho y legendario, sumado al excelente soundtrack y la calidad gráfica de punta convierten a esta película en una:
