El hermano de Carrie Fisher, Todd Fisher, recientemente ha revelado nuevos detalles sobre los planes originales del director J. J. Abrams para Leia en Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
En una entrevista con Yahoo Entertainment, Fisher explicó las intenciones originales para la princesa Organa en el episodio IX, antes de la repentina muerte en diciembre de 2016 de Carrie.
Ella iba a ser la gran apuesta en la película final. Ella iba a ser la última Jedi, por así decirlo. Eso es genial, ¿verdad? Luego lo modificaron y lo metieron en la historia de la manera correcta. Es algo mágico. Esto es, a su manera, una recompensa… Es Carrie que nos habla a todos desde más allá. Lo hermoso del concepto de la Fuerza es que no existe una muerte real; simplemente existes en otra dimensión. Así que Carrie está mirando hacia abajo o de lado o hacia donde sea y todavía es parte de nosotros.
