Además, de que ha sido el momento ideal para que comience a surgir con fuerza el rumor de que Netflix podría entregarnos una serie de The Legend of Zelda de animación. Esto podría ser una gran idea, ya que al menos con Castlevania, se ha demostrado que la plataforma de streaming tiene buen tacto para hacer animaciones que rindan tributo a grandes videojuegos.
Esta información ha sido revelada por IMDb y por el blog StudioGhibli.fr. El blog como tal ha anunciado el rumor, mientras que IMDb ha puesto la ficha de la serie en sus registros, dando información en el segmento “trivia” sobre incluso cómo sería el estilo artístico de ella.
Lo que da a conocer IMDb es que la primera temporada de la serie estaría basada en Ocarina of Time y Majora’s Mask. Por su parte, la segunda temporada presentaría la historia de Link to the Past, Link’s Awakening y Link Between Worlds, tendrá un estilo inspirado en Ralph Bakshi según IMDb.
Finalmente, la tercera temporada abarcaría Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass y Spirit Tracks y su animación tendría un estilo muy cercano a la visual de Studio Ghibli. Por el momento no hay confirmación por parte de Netflix, pero a primera impresión parece una buena idea y una producción que puede tener mucho éxito
