Netflix ha salido beneficiado con las series animadas y en acción real basadas en videojuegos. Si bien ‘The Witcher’ se basa principalmente en la novelas, no cabe duda de que atrajo mucho público gracias a los videojuegos y ahora se espera un éxito similar con una serie que se está preparando de ‘Resident Evil’.
Sobre este nuevo live-action no se conocía mucho al respecto, pero gracias a Splash Report hoy sabemos de qué va la historia y quiénes serán sus protagonistas. Lo primero que debés saber (y que quizá decepcionará a algunos) es que no se tratará de una adaptación fiel de los juegos, sino de una historia nueva completamente original.
Los personajes principales de esta serie serán Jade y Billie Wesker, hermanastras que no tendrán la mejor relación entre sí y que tienen una visión muy diferente de su padre Albert Wesker. En el episodio piloto transcurren en dos líneas temporales, la primera se desarrolla en el año 2036 y la segunda en 2022.
En la primera línea, Jade se encuentra realizando una investigación en una Universidad ubicada en Europa, en ese momento en la Tierra hay tan solo 3 millones de supervivientes y 6 mil millones de zombies. En la segunda línea se verá el inicio de la infección y cómo la vive la familia Wesker. Esto indica claramente que esta adaptación de Netflix jugará con saltos en el tiempo.
