Desde marzo de este 2020 se habían venido dando especulaciones sobre quién asumiría el protagónico con las futuras películas y el nombre de Lashana Lynch (‘Captain Marvel’) surgió luego de saberse que estaría presente en ‘No Time to Die’; ante esto, la actriz recibió tantos ataques que declaró haber tenido que cerrar sus redes sociales por un tiempo. Hoy se confirma: Lynch es la primera mujer negra como Agente 007.
Esto no quiere decir que ella vaya a ser la protagonista en las próximas películas (aún no se ha confirmado nada oficialmente), pero sí será la primera mujer en asumir este rol en la nueva película de James Bond que se estrena en 2021 (dirigida por Cary Fukunaga); pues la historia de ‘No Time to Die’ comenzará con un James Bond retirado y en exilio.
El personaje de Lynch, Nomi, es quien asume el título de 007 mientras James Bond (Daniel Craig) está ausente, eso la convierte en la primera mujer negra con ese título en toda la historia del personaje en cine. La actriz se siente orgullosa de este honor y ha mencionado en una entrevista con Harper Bazaar que la conversación que está sucediendo es necesaria y que se siente parte de algo que será «muy, muy revolucionario».
