Toy Story 3 se estrenó en el 2010. Sí, ya van a cumplirse 8 años, y desde ese momento ya había fans esperando con ansias una nueva aventura de Buzz, Woody, los Cara de Papa y el resto de la pandilla de juguetes. Sin embargo, pasaron 4 años antes de su anuncio oficial y ahora ya casi transcurren 4 más sin pistas de su estreno. Bueno, hoy por fin les traemos buenas noticias.
Pixar y Disney han anunciado en su cuenta oficial de Facebook que la cuarta entrega de la saga se estrenará en el 2019, exactamente el 21 de junio. Con ayuda de un gran número cuatro hecho con post-its en la pared, y engalanando los colores oficiales de Toy Story, así recibimos la noticia.
La reacción del público ante la secuela es bastante mixta. Algunos adoran poder volver al mundo de los juguetes, mientras que otros lamentan que exista una nueva película después del maravilloso cierre de Toy Story 3. No obstante, los rumores indican que este nuevo filme no será una secuela directa del anterior, sino más bien una historia independiente que desarrollará un poco más la relación entre Woody y Bo Beep, quien estuvo misteriosamente ausente del tercer capítulo de Toy Story.
El guión de esta entrega fue escrito por la misma guionista de Thor: Ragnarok, Stephany Folsom, luego de algo de drama tras bastidores en donde Rashida Jones y Will McCormack renunciaron al proyecto por diferencias creativas y filosóficas con Pixar. Con el éxito que ha tenido ese Thor para Marvel, estamos seguros que sea cual sea el rumbo que tome esta parte de la historia, la película será de las más vistas del año. Así que ahora sólo queda esperar, por dicha ahora sí, poco tiempo y estar atentos a cualquier anuncio o material promocional, porque en tan sólo 15 meses estaremos viendo Toy Story 4 en cines.
