Black Widow fue por algún tiempo la única integrante femenina de los Avengers, e incluso hoy, continúa siendo una de las pocas superheroínas que formarán parte del titánico elenco de Infinity War. Esto ha llevado a que, por años, los y las fans hayan clamado por un filme en solitario de Natasha, pero hasta hace poco empezó a reportarse que tal vez Marvel iba a escuchar sus plegarias. Ahora, con el futuro de la Viuda Negra en juego después de la promesa de muerte y sangre que, nos han dicho, trae consigo el fin de la tercera fase del MCU, los rumores sobre cómo podría darse una potencial película del personaje de Scarlett Johansson han empezado a surgir.
De acuerdo con That Hashtag Show, el filme en solitario de Widow será una precuela. Esta sería una movida inteligente de parte de Marvel Studios, pues podría permitirle al filme tener toda la exposición mediática que sin duda va a originar en su momento, sin dar un veredicto sobre el estado de Natasha Romanoff más allá de Avengers 4. Además, si de verdad la cuarta fase del Universo Cinematográfico Marvel va a ser tan radicalmente distinta a su pasado, este regreso a los inicios podría ser el poco de nostalgia que necesitamos los fans para darle un último adiós a esta primera década de superhéroes en el cine.
Los reportes indican, además, que la película se situará unos 15 años después de la caída de la U.R.S.S., cuando ya Natasha ha venido a América a vivir, pero antes de que ingrese a S.H.I.E.L.D. Esta historia situada en el pasado también ha hecho a los fans especular sobre los potenciales otros personajes que tendrían participación en la trama. Por supuesto, Hawkeye es uno de los más obvios, pero según lo que dice THS, Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier sería el favorito para compartir pantalla con Black Widow.
Claro, este Bucky no sería el mismo que vamos a ver esta semana en Infinity War. Se trataría de un Soldado del Invierno completamente influenciado por los eventos de su trágico origen, quien es posible que esté incluso cazando a Natasha en una misión por atar los cabos sueltos que dejó la caída de la Unión Soviética. Sebastian Stan volvería en el papel.
Black Widow se está planeando para tener su lanzamiento en 2020, por lo que no pasará mucho tiempo antes de que tengamos confirmación de estos detalles o, al menos, una negación rotunda de ellos. De momento, Natasha Romanoff y un séquito más de Avengers estarán en las pantallas de cine a partir de este viernes en Infinity War.
