La historia se centra en un nativo de Mozambique que fue llevado como esclavo a Japón por jesuitas. Una vez en Japón, Yasuke conoce a Nobunaga, de quien se gana el respeto y quien también luego le otorga el título de samurai, siendo el primer hombre negro en lograr tal honor en el país nipón.
El guión de esta película estará a cargo de Doug Miro, uno de los creadores de la serie ‘Narcos’. Aún no existen más detalles sobre su estreno o sobre otros miembros del reparto.
