Square Enix anunció que los primeros tres juegos de la franquicia Dragon Quest se lanzarán para la Nintendo Switch el próximo 27 de septiembre. Los fanáticos más apasionados ahora podrán visitar de vuelta los inicios de la saga, y toda la trilogía Erdrick en Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line y Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, cada una disponible mediante descarga digital desde la Nintendo eShop.
Tras su lanzamiento en 1986, Dragon Quest acumuló una gran y apasionada base de admiradores en todo el mundo, y estableció el estándar para el género RPG. Esta moderna colección de títulos clásicos presenta controles simples e intuitivos que imitan el juego retro, rindiendo homenaje a donde comenzó el legado.
La historia de Erdrick comienza en un viaje a través del reino histórico de Alefgard, mientras que Dragon Quest II, tiene lugar un siglo después, donde el joven príncipe de Midenhall se embarca en un viaje para encontrar a los otros dos descendientes de Erdrick para derrotar al nefasto Hargon. El tercer y último título de la trilogía de Erdrick, Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation, lleva a los jugadores a través de la tierra de Aliahan, donde el jugador tiene la tarea de matar al casi inmortal Baramos, el maestro de la oscuridad.
Dragon Quest tendrá un precio de $4.99 USD, Dragon Quest II tendrá un precio de 6.49 USD, y Dragon Quest III tendrá un precio de $12.49 USD. Los tres títulos estarán disponibles digitalmente para la consola Nintendo Switch el 27 de septiembre.
