Pues efectivamente así será. Así lo dio a conocer Epic Games por medio de un comunicado:
«¡Hoy estamos especialmente emocionados, ya que tenemos que anunciar que Borderlands 3 llega a la tienda de Epic Games! Enfréntate a los gemelos Calypso, los líderes de la secta más despiadados de la Galaxia y conviértete en uno de los 4 nuevos Vault Hunters equipado con tu propio árbol de habilidades expertas, nuevas destrezas y un montón de opciones de personalización.»
Esto se complementa con las declaraciones de Randy Pitchford, líder de Gearbox, quien en su cuenta de Twitter se había referido parcialmente al tema, aunque también había dejado duda pues aclaró que las decisiones de distribución las toma 2K Games. En estos días también se celebró la PAX East 2019, en la que el anuncio de ‘Borderlands 3’ causó gran revuelo, por lo que no sería de extrañarse que su lanzamiento en la Epic Store sea un éxito total.
Esta exclusividad de Epic Games Store solo dura hasta abril de 2020, ya luego estará disponible en otras plataformas digitales. ‘Borderlands 3’ estará listo para lanzarse el 13 de setiembre de este año en las plataformas PS4, PC y Xbox One y tendrá 4 ediciones: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition y Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition.
