Desde hace algunos meses se venía diciendo que ‘Death Note’ iba a tener una nueva entrega de comics, en esta ocasión escritos por uno de los creadores de la historia original, Takeshi Obata. Pues bueno, por fin se ha revelado el primer adelanto de este nuevo manga.
Se trata de un one-shot (historieta de un solo capítulo) que fue anunciado en una exposición de arte en Japón, ahí se mostraron algunas ilustraciones de lo que será, según el creador, una historia con «un sabor diferente en comparación con la serie de Death Note«, aunque igualmente tendrá a Ryuk como el protagonista.
Algunos fans piensan que este nuevo one-shot de 87 páginas, profundizará en cómo llegaron los Shinigami a la Tierra y cómo fueron sus primeras interacciones con los humanos. Ya en 2008 se había publicado otro one-shot que se ubicaba después de la resolución del caso de Kira y funcionó como epílogo de la historia central.
El comic de ‘Death Note’ finalizó en 2006 y luego se estrenaron el animé y una película en live action con producción a cargo de Netflix. Se espera que en los próximos años llegue su secuela.
