Es poco lo que no se ha podido ver en los comics, desde un Superman comunista, hasta un Wolverine casado con Tormenta pero lo que ha hecho Gene Ha con Batman para donar a la caridad, es algo que nunca habíamos visto, ni se nos hubiera ocurrido ver jamás.

Gene Ha, conocido en el medio por ilustrar las aventuras de Cíclope y Phoenix, fue el que concibió este inusual tributo, es decir, el Batman más simpático y amigable de todos, con uno de los más oscuros, de hecho, el Batman que más ha marcado la era moderna del caballero de la noche.

Según el propio Ha, la pieza fue inspirada con el fallecimiento de West:

“El arte es un homenaje a Dark Knight Returns de Frank Miller. La muerte de Adam West me trajo a la mente el Batman de Miller, declarando que se siente vivo de nuevo”.

Estos trabajos se han puesto a la venta en eBay, pero su creador ha decidido donar el 10% de las ganancias a una organización caritativa llamada Hero Initiative (Iniciativa de héroe), misma que ayuda a creadores de comics viejos, a subsistir.

El éxito ha hecho que Ha planee hacer más materiales impresos, por lo que pueden estar atentos si les interesa. Los siguientes tweets los puso el artistia en su cuenta:
