La Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) y CIDEV con el apoyo del TEC: Sede Central, tienen el agrado de anunciar el Global Game Jam Costa Rica 2019, este se llevará a cabo el 25, 26 y 27 de Enero en la Sede de la UNED en Sabanilla y en el TEC de Cartago de forma simultánea.
El Global Game Jam® (GGJ) es el “Game Jam” más grande a nivel internacional que tiene lugar en todo el mundo en ubicaciones físicas. Un game jam es un evento donde se crean videojuegos en 48 horas, es como un “hackathon” enfocado en el desarrollo de videojuegos.
El GGJ tiene una duración de 48 horas donde se reúnen equipos interdisciplinarios con el objetivo de desarrollar videojuegos. Durante el evento los participantes, se enfrentan a todos los retos de el proceso de desarrollo: ya sea la programación, el diseño iterativo, la exploración narrativa y expresión artística. No es necesario tener un conocimiento previo sobre el desarrollo de videojuegos, el GGJ alienta a las personas con diferentes habilidades para que participen y vivan la gratificante experiencia de ver sus ideas y trabajo convertidas en un juego funcional.
El evento contará con charlas especializadas sobre la industria de videojuegos, tanto internacional como a nivel nacional. Estas charlas estarán a cargo por diferentes estudios ya conocidos en el ambiente como Fair Play Labs, Tree Interactive, Tayassu Games, Headless Chicken Games, entre otros.
Las sedes del GGJ serán en el Auditorio Daniel Oduber en la Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED), Sabanilla, San José; y en la Biblioteca Figueres Ferrer en el TEC: Sede Central, Cartago.
