Los productores de Powerless, Justin Halpern y Patrick Schumacker, estarán a la cabeza de una nueva serie animada de Harley Quinn para el nuevo sistema de streaming de Warner Bros. Así lo anunció el día de ayer un nuevo reporte de Deadline, que además reveló que se tratará de una producción de 26 episodios producida para un público maduro.
Esta es la tercera iteración de contenido original que se envía a producción para la plataforma, acompañando ya a Young Justice: Outsiders y el seriado de live-action Titans.
Harley Quinn, el nombre oficial de esta entrega, será escrita por Halpern, Shumacker y Dean Lorey, quien representa al sitio de streaming desde la producción ejecutiva. Además, se rumora que Margot Robbie lidera la lista de estrellas que el estudio espera conseguir para prestar de nuevo su voz al personaje principal.
Según el reporte oficial, «Harley Quinn, basada en los personajes de DC, se centra en Harley Quinn, quien finalmente ha roto su relación con el Joker de una vez por todas para intentar convertirse por sí sola en la reina del crimen de Gotham City. La serie presentará a Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy y un reparto completo de heroes y villanos, viejos y nuevos, del universo de DC».
Estas es ya la quinta aparición rumorada o confirmada de Quinn en producciones de DC en los últimos y próximos años.
