Según fuentes cercanas al medio lrm online, el actor Hayden Christensen tendrá participación en la nueva serie que está produciendo Disney+, Kenobi, protagonizada por Ewan McGregor. El rol de Christensen sería el mismo de las películas de Star Wars, es decir, Anakin Skywalker antes de convertirse en Darth Vader.
Al parecer ya se había negociado que Hayden Christensen estuviera en la serie, sin embargo, iba a tratarse únicamente de un cameo. Luego, conforme avanzaba la preproducción, el papel de Anakin en esta nueva serie fue adquiriendo importancia, con lo cual se tratará de una participación regular.
Este anuncio se iba a dar oficialmente en la Star Wars Celebration de este año, pero debido al coronavirus, el evento fue cancelado y reprogramado para 2022. Se espera que las grabaciones de ‘Kenobi’ inicien a principios del próximo año, siempre y cuando no se agrave más la situación con el COVID-19.
‘Kenobi’ será dirigida por Deborah Chow (‘Better Call Saul’, ‘American Gods’, ‘The Mandalorian’) y Hossein Amini (‘Drive’, ‘McMafia’) junto con Joby Harold (‘Awake’, ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’) escribirán los guiones.
