Precisamente hace un lustro, el 4 de noviembre de 2014 se puso a la venta el Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare; poco sabía Activision que su título de guerra sería más recordado por un tema de chiste y ‘respetos’ que por su propia calidad, o en su gastada y repetida propuesta.
Si alguna vez tecleaste F para mostrar respeto (o burla) a un compañero o enemigo caído en algún juego online, pues hoy deberías presionar F por respeto al aniversario de esta reciente tradición gamer. Abajo, pueden ver la escena donde todo dio comienzo.
Pero ¿cómo dio inicio esto? Todo comienza cuando en una toma narrativa del Advanced Warfare entramos al funeral de un soldado (el mejor amigo del protagonista) que murió en la guerra. Con la delicadeza que un solo de violín puede dar, los soldados van saludando uno a uno el ataúd, al tiempo que ponen su mano sobre el mismo. Tras un rato, toca el turno del jugador, donde en pantalla aparece un mensaje que dice: «Presiona F para presentar tus respetos».
A partir de ahí, los memes, chats, y muchas partidas de juegos se han visto inundadas por «F’s» que sirvieron para mostrar emociones ante una situación específica, ya sea una de respeto, burlas, o de asombro.
