“Después de que un espectro atravesara su corazón, Noel se ve forzada a dejar su hogar y unirse a Los Tocados por Demonios, un grupo de seres con habilidades especiales que tiene prohibido el contacto con los humanos. En compañía de su maestro, aprenderá a utilizar sus poderes y viajará por ciudades en las que habitan toda clase de monstruos. Al tiempo que intenta sobrevivir en ese nuevo mundo, ella luchará para cumplir su deseo: volver a ser humana”.

Los Tocados por Demonios es un libro de fantasía y aventura, con un poco de romance. La novela está dirigida a adultos jóvenes a quienes les gustan las historias llenas de emociones, con variedad de personajes. También es una excelente lectura para quienes disfrutan los videojuegos, cómics y mangas, pues mucha de la inspiración de la autora viene de allí.

En la novela hay toda una construcción de mundo y espacios. Existe una sociedad compuesta por monstruos, seres cuyas formas de vida difieren, pero se unen para vivir en paz. Cuenta con una amplia riqueza, no solo en los personajes principales (los Tocados por Demonios), sino también en estos clanes de monstruos, los cuales aportan su propia visión de mundo. Uno de sus aspectos más destacados es que puede ser al mismo tiempo romántica y aterradora, pues tiene momentos enfocados en las relaciones entre los personajes y momentos dedicados a las batallas.

Nuestra protagonista se llama Noel, es una chica de 17 años, sencilla y con una vida simple. Vive en una aldea con su madre y no espera nada del mundo. Cuando se convierte en una Tocado por Demonio, es obligada a cambiar, en contra de su voluntad, para convertirse en una guerrera. En palabras de uno de los personajes: “Es honesta. Si está feliz, habla sin parar. Si está triste, llora. Si tiene miedo, se agarra de tu brazo. Si quiere algo, deja sus ojos fijos en eso”.

Lucía Zúñiga comenzó a escribir desde que era niña, a mano y en cuadernos. Siempre historias de fantasía. “Es un instinto que vive en mí. Me gusta pensar que dentro de mi ser existe ese mundo diferente, el cual clama por salir para que ustedes, los lectores, lo conozcan. Pienso escribir más novelas ambientadas en el mismo mundo de Los Tocados por Demonios, cuyo nombre es Ilhsais”, relata ella misma. Es aficionada a los videojuegos, los cómics, los mangas y la animación en general. Ha escrito algunos artículos en The Couch también, los cuales se pueden revisar acá.
