Sin embargo, recientemente se ha estado compartiendo información que indica que la compañía podría estar a punto de terminar con su funcionamiento fuera del mercado nipón. La noticia proviene del medio GamesIndustry.biz, que asegura que las primeras operaciones cerradas serían en el territorio estadounidense.
El medio afirmó que desde el año pasado se ha venido despidiendo al personal de las filiales Level 5 International America y Level 5 Abby, esto sumado a la salida de Yukari Hayakawa como directora de operaciones en Norteamérica también a principios de 2019. A pesar de todo esto, aún no existe un comunicado oficial por parte de Level-5.
Claramente esto afectaría en gran medida a Nintendo, debido a las nuevas entregas de ‘Yo-Kai Watch 4’ y ‘Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y’; además de ‘Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes’. Importante también recordar que los últimos títulos de Level-5 (años 2019 y 2020) lanzados en Occidente fueron para Switch, concretamente ‘Snack World’ y ‘Yo-Kai Watch 3’.
