Hoy a tempranas horas de la mañana tuvimos el Pokémon Direct y el presidente y director ejecutivo de The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, nos introdujo lo que representa la octava generación de Pokémon por medio de los juegos ‘Pokémon Espada’ y ‘Pokémon Escudo’.

Estos son los nuevos RPG de la franquicia para Nintendo Switch y Junichi Masuda, productor de las nuevas entregas de Game Freak, junto con Shigeru Ohmori, director de las mismas; nos han brindado la siguiente información:

  • Ambos juegos están dirigidos tanto a entrenadores veteranos como a aquellos que comenzaron su camino con ‘Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu’ y de igual forma los juegos permiten dar la bienvenida a jugadores totalmente nuevos.
  • La región donde el juego se desarrolla se llama Galar y está conformado por zonas rurales, ciudades modernas, vastas llanuras y montañas. La idea es sacar adelante su industria gracias a los Pokémon nuevos y antiguos.
  • Nuevamente se incluyen los gimnasios como una manera de ganar títulos y campeonatos, esto se había omitido en ‘Pokémon Sol’ y ‘Pokémon Luna’.
  • Los Pokémon iniciales que te pueden acompañar en esta nueva aventura son: Grookey (planta), Scorbunny (fuego) y Sobble (agua), aún no se ha mencionado nada sobre los Pokémon legendarios.
  • Ambos juegos estarán disponibles a finales del 2019 en todo el mundo.

Por último, Tsunekazu Ishihara indicó que, aparte de estos RPG, se encuentran desarrollando otros proyectos sobre la franquicia que podríamos conocer este mismo año.
