¡No busquen más! Carmen Sandiego ha aparecido y esta vez se encuentra en las instalaciones de Netflix, preparando su próxima película live-action. Así lo reportó Deadline, que además indicó que este filme será una película única e independiente (no formará parte de una saga ni un universo expandido) y que será una aventura que revivirá toda la emoción de la aclamada serie de los 90.
Gina Rodríguez (Jane The Virgin), quien además fungirá como productora del proyecto, será la protagonista del filme. Asimismo, Rodríguez prestará su voz para la serie animada que Netflix también está preparando en torno a Sandiego.
Mientras que la película traerá a la vida al personaje que ya conocemos y amamos en una de sus criminosas aventuras internacionales, la trama de la animación se enfocará más bien en el pasado de Carmen, ayudándonos a descubrir quién es realmente y qué turbio pasado la llevó a convertirse en una de las ladronas más reconocidas, y buscadas, del planeta.
El filme no tiene aún director ni guionista, ni tampoco fecha de estreno. Sin embargo, sabemos que la serie se estrenará en 2019.
En fin, les recomendamos que vayan desempolvando sus gabardinas rojas y llenándole los tanques a sus vehículos aéreos de escape, porque muy pronto la fiebre del crimen internacional reinará en Netflix, y nosotros no podríamos estar más emocionados.
