Ayer domingo se celebraron los SAG Awards o Premios del Sindicato de Actores, una ceremonia que cada año ha ido cobrando mayor importancia y también con mayor difusión. Este año la sorpresa más grande (y más agradable) estuvo relacionada con la película surcoreana ‘Parasite’ de Bon Joon-jo.
Por primera vez en la historia, un elenco de una película de habla no inglesa se llevó el premio más importante de la noche: Mejor Elenco; y de acuerdo a la reacción de los actores de ‘Parasite’ parece que ellos, al igual que el público presente y la audiencia, no se lo esperaban en lo absoluto. Esto aumenta las probabilidades de que este filme se lleve el Oscar a Mejor Película del Año.
Pero eso no fue todo lo que se ha convertido en tendencia en la web, también se pudo ver a Brad Pitt y Jennifer Aniston (ganadores de Mejor Actor de Reparto y Mejor Actriz en una Serie Dramática, respectivamente) muy orgullosos el uno del otro cuando recibían su premio y daban sus discursos. Además Pitt hizo reír a los presentes cuando mencionó que iba a subir ese premio a su perfil de Tinder.
Por otro lado el ganador de la noche a Mejor Actor, Joaquin Phoenix, dedicó unas palabras de respeto hacia sus competidores de categoría y volvió a rendir tributo al que considera su actor favorito, el fallecido Heath Ledger. Mientras que Robert De Niro, quien recibió un premio honorífico por trayectoria, describió el actual clima político como «terrible» y añadió: «Existe el bien y el mal, existe el sentido común y existe el abuso de poder».
