Los fans de Flash y de Ezra Miller van a tener que esperar un poco más para ver al velocista escarlata en una película en solitario en la gran pantalla.
Warner Bros ha movido la fecha de inicio de filmaciones del filme debido a que en realidad la película nunca ha obtenido formalmente una luz verde, aunque se esperaba que la producción iniciara en marzo. El tema es que el guión sigue cambiando y mejorándose y no va a estar listo para mantener las fechas planeadas anteriormente.
Eso además genera otro problema, el cual es la otra razón del atraso. Ezra Miller también tiene un rol importante en la franquicia spin off de Harry Potter, Animales Fantásticos, cuya tercera entrega inicia filmación en julio del próximo año. Esto genera problemas de planificación de fechas, por lo que ahora se espera que la película de The Flash inicie producción hasta finales del 2019 y por tanto lo más probable es que el filme esté listo hasta el 2021.
La película de The Flash lleva mucho tiempo gestándose pero los avances han sido muy lentos. En enero Warner Bros, por fin firmó a John Francis Daley y Jonathan Goldstein, escritores de “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, para que se hicieran cargo de dirigir el proyecto, en reemplazo del director de “Dope” Rick Famuyiw por diferencias creativas.
Con esto el estado del DECU sigue en el limbo, luego del fracaso en taquilla de Justice League y las pocas ganas que tiene Warner de continuar con Batman y Superman, y por ende Affleck y Cavil en sus puestos. El éxito o fracaso de Aquaman en diciembre, de Wonder Woman 1984 y de Shazam el próximo año dictaran los siguientes movimientos. El estudio eso sí sigue con otros proyectos como una secuela de Suicide Squad o el Joker de Joaquin Phoenix.
