La serie de Warner Bros. Television y CBS Supergirl introducirá a un personaje importante de la liga de la justicia al mundo de la televisión: El Tornado Rojo, encarnado por el actor Iddo Goldberg (The Mentalist, Defiance, Salem).
Goldberg describe a su personaje, según una entrevista brindada a comicbook.com, como:

En los comics el Dr. Morrow es el alter ego de Red Tornado, además de ser un héroe y no el villano que aparentemente será en la introducción del personaje. Aparte de éste personaje, la serie ha confirmado la aparición de Sam Lane (padre de Lois Lane) y Lucy Lane (hermana de Luisa), así mismo del villano proveniente de Krypton, Non.
La aparición de éste hace pensar a los fans la posibilidad de ver a General Zod eventualmente en la serie.
Supergirl es una serie basada en el personaje de Kara Zor-El, prima de Kal-El a.k.a Superman, la serie se estrena el lunes 26 de Octubre.
