En una de las batallas de Mario contra Bowser en el juego Super Mario 64, cuando nuestro héroe sujeta a su enemigo de la cola y lo lanza por los aires, exclama una frase que durante años ha tenido varias interpretaciones.

Unos pensaban que Mario decía «So long, Bowser» («Hasta luego, Bowser») y otros entendían que lo que decía era «So long, King Bowser» («Hasta luego, Rey Bowser»), ya que la calidad del audio sumado a la entonación que dio el actor, era algo difusa.

Pero ahora, el asunto se ha esclarecido, pues por medio de Twitter, un usuario le hizo la pregunta directamente al actor de voz de Mario, el señor Charles Martinet, quien respondió lo siguiente:

«So long kinga Bowser!», es decir que la frase correcta era la que incluía la palabra «rey», pero dicha con un marcado acento italiano.

No queda duda que Super Mario 64 sigue vigente y siempre ha servido de gran referencia para cada una de las nuevas entregas de Mario. Por algo es considerado por muchos como la mejor versión de Mario Bros hasta el momento.
