Variety reportó hace unas horas que Lizzy Caplan, mejor conocida por sus papeles en Masters of Sex, Mean Girls y 127 Hours, está en avanzadas negociaciones para convertirse en la protagonista femenina de la película de Gambito, al lado de Channing Tatum.
Esta es una muy buena noticia para los fans del misterioso y ágil mutante, pues por mucho tiempo hubo sospechas de que el proyecto para traer este personaje al cine estaba prácticamente fallecido. Sin embargo, parece que finalmente el filme está en proceso de volverse realidad y una actriz del calibre de Caplan es una gran adquisición para garantizar que la película cumpla con las expectativas de los fans.
Además de contar con Tatum y Lizzy, la producción estará encabezada por el director Gore Verbinski, que ha trabajado en Piratas del Caribe, y está planeada para tener su lanzamiento el 12 de febrero del 2019.
