Como bien sabemos, Showtime se encuentra produciendo una serie live-action de ‘Halo’. La cadena de televisión ha logrado manejar todo el desarrollo sin hacer mucho escándalo, pero ya se dio a conocer que han tenido un ligero traspié y que tendrán que reemplazar a una de sus actrices.
Se trata de Natascha McElhone, quien iba a tener en la serie la responsabilidad de un papel doble, siendo Cortana y también la Doctora Catherine Halsey. El asunto es que con todo esto de la pandemia a McElhone se le complicaron los nuevos horarios de rodaje y se vio forzada a abandonar el papel de Cortana (aunque seguirá como Halsey).
Es por eso que la producción ha recurrido a contratar a la misma actriz que hace de Cortana en varias entregas del videojuego como tal, específicamente las de ‘Halo’ 1, 2, 3, Reach, 4 y 5. Estamos hablando de Jen Taylor, quien también en algunas ocasiones ha tenido que interpretar a la Doctora Catherine Halsey.
Como dijimos al inicio de esta nota, no hay muchos detalles de cómo se desarrollará esta serie a fondo, ni siquiera se sabe si Taylor aparecerá en persona en el papel de Cortana o si se utilizará CGI. Lo que sí hay es una sinopsis que dice: «Habrá un conflicto épico en el siglo 26 entre la humanidad y una amenaza alienígena conocida como el Pacto. Halo tejerá historias personales profundamente dibujadas con acción, aventura y un visión del futuro ricamente imaginada».
