Según reportes de Bleeding Cool, la división televisiva de Legendary está desarrollando una serie televisiva inspirada en los mitos de Cthulhu, creados por H.P. Lovecraft y expandidos por múltiples escritores de la talla de Robert Bloch (Psycho) y August Derleth.
La serie, de carácter antológico, se inspirará en al menos dieciséis relatos de Lovecraft, entre los que se cuentan The Call of Cthulhu, The Shadow Over Innsmouth y The Dunwich Horror. Como productores fungirán Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Doom, Constantine y varias entregas de Transformers) y Dan McDermott, mientras que en labores de guión, al menos para el piloto, estará Matthew Francis Wilson. De momento no hay noticias sobre elenco, cantidad de capítulos ni posible plataforma de emisión.
Aunque la serie se encuentra en un estado muy preliminar, definitivamente es una bocanada de aire fresco para quienes ansiamos ver una buena adaptación audiovisual de Lovecraft, sobre todo desde que nos quedamos con las ganas de que Guillermo del Toro concretara su adaptación de At the Mountains of Madness.
No queda más que cruzar los tentáculos dedos para que el proyecto vea la luz muy pronto.
