El Festival of Animation Berlin (FAB 2025) es la octava edición de un certamen dedicado al cine de animación, que se celebrará del 26 al 28 de septiembre de 2025 en Berlín, en sedes como Silent Green Kulturquartier y City Kino Wedding.

El evento incluye un programa competitivo con varias categorías —animación internacional, animación alemana, nuevos talentos, animación para niños (“Pink Panda”), animación por encargo y largometrajes animados—, así como una exposición llamada FAB Dimensional que muestra obras experimentales e instalaciones que van más allá del cine tradicional.

Además del concurso, hay talleres, clases magistrales, masterclasses, exhibiciones y oportunidades de interacción entre creadores, lo que lo convierte en una plataforma tanto para artistas emergentes como para profesionales consolidando redes dentro del ámbito de la animación.

La costarricense Nat Solis, como se denomina en su red de Instagram, presentó un corto animado, ganando mención especial en al Pitch destacado. El proyecto se llama Equina, el cual es un corto de horror que recontextualiza la leyenda de la Cegua desde una perspectiva contemporánea y femenina, abordando la leyenda desde temas de acoso callejero, coming of rage y los monstruos femeninos.
