La expansión ha llegado a ‘The Batman’ antes de tan siquiera ser estrenada en los cines. La película, que está prevista para estrenarse a finales de 2021, ampliará su universo gracias a una serie de estilo policial que será supervisada por el mismo director del filme, Matt Reeves.
Esta producción iría directo a HBO Max y estará escrita y producida por Terence Winter. A Winter se le puede recordar fácilmente por su serie ‘Boardwalk Empire’ y también por haber estado implicado en la escritura de algunos episodios de la tan elogiada serie ‘The Sopranos’.
La serie estará ambientada en el mundo que Matt Reeves está creando para su reinicio del Caballero Oscuro y se basará en la anatomía de la corrupción en Gotham City, y finalmente lanzará un nuevo universo de DC Comics en múltiples plataformas. Además la serie ofrece una oportunidad sin precedentes para extender el mundo establecido en la película The Batman y explorar aún más la mirada de personajes convincentes y complejos de Gotham.
