Hace tan solo unas horas de este 18 de julio que se presentó una enorme tragedia en Japón. A eso de las 10:30 am, un hombre de 41 años de edad, del cual aún no se han revelado mayores detalles de su identidad, ingresó a las instalaciones de Kyoto Animation y comenzó a rociar gasolina por todo el lugar, luego, al grito de «mueran», prendió fuego y causó todo un caos.
El hombre, quien había adquirido unos 40 litros de gasolina, fue arrestado poco tiempo después por las autoridades y no tuvo ningún problema en admitir rápidamente que él había planeado el crimen, el cual va sumando ya casi 30 muertes, 40 personas heridas y pérdidas materiales millonarias.
El el momento del incendio, se encontraban unos 70 trabajadores en esta sede, del total de 160 que laboran para la compañía. Se informa que el desastre fue tal, que el cuerpo de bomberos tardó casi 5 horas en aplacar las llamas. El Primer Ministro de Japón, Shinzo Abe, ha hecho declaraciones públicas en las que lamenta profundamente lo sucedido.
Ahora los fans están tratando de solidarizarse con Kyoto Animation y los afectados, al crear una campaña de crowdfunding para recolectar dinero que pueda ayudar a solventar los daños materiales, hasta el momento han reunido más de 300 mil dólares.
