El periodista de IGN, Joe Skrebels, consiguió una entrevista con el productor ejecutivo de la película basada en el video juego “Assassin’s Creed” Pat Crowley. En dicha entrevista, con el importante medio estadounidense, deja caer una información que puede cambie el hype que genero el primer tráiler de la película hace unos días atrás.
Según Crowley, la cinta protagonizada por Michael Fassbender, repartirá su tiempo entre le pasado y el presente, a modo de replicar el estilo del juego de video; sin embargo es la proporción de tiempo lo que resulta interesante: 65% en el presente y 35% en el pasado, una proporción casi contraria a la que se da en el medio virtual..
El productor dijo a IGN: “Hay cosas que queremos respetar absolutamente del juego, pero también queremos traer elementos nuevos al mismo… no estamos haciendo un video juego, queremos llevar una experiencia cinematográfica, por lo que hay cosas nuevas que queremos introducir.”
Fassbender hará el papel del convicto Callum Lynch (y su contraparte Aguilar, en la España del siglo 15). La película será estrenada en diciembre 21 de 2016.
