Para poder experimentar la beta de ‘Gears of War 4’ entre el 18 y 24 de abril, era necesario jugar ‘Gears of War Ultimate Edition’ (antes del 11 de abril) en Xbox One o PC. Los miembros de Xbox Live Gold podrán hacerlo a partir del 25 de abril y hasta el 1 de mayo.
