A pesar de que Nintendo no estuvo involucrado, directamente, con el desarrollo de Pokémon Go, su éxito a nivel mundial le ha permitido a la ‘Gran N’ reivindicar su valor en el mercado, al punto de superar a otro gigante de la industria, Sony.
Según los últimos reportes, Nintendo alcanzó una capitalización bursátil de $39.800 millones, cifra que los coloca por encima de los $38.340 que protagoniza Sony.
Se estima que Nintendo recibe el 10% de los ingresos que produce la aplicación para dispositivos móviles (Android/iOS), por lo que el resto se reparte entre los otros involucrados.
Pokémon Go fue desarrollado por Niantic Labs (subsidiaria de Google) y The Pokémon Company (Nintendo posee el 33%). Hasta ahora fue lanzado en Estados Unidos, Australia, Japón y varios países de Europa, pero eso no ha sido impedimento para que aparezcan entrenadores alrededor de todo el mundo, incluyendo en nuestra querida Costa Rica.
