Además de una nueva serie animada y una segunda temporada de ‘Star Trek: Discovery’, CBS también planea una serie en solitario con el personaje Philippa Georgiou, miembro de la Sección 31, una agencia de inteligencia en la sombra que opera dentro de la Federación. Michelle Yeoh-Led es la actriz que encarna a dicho personaje.
En la primera temporada de ‘Discovery’, Georgiou fue capitana del USS Shenzhou, luego los Klingons la asesinaron. Tiempo después la tripulación del USS Discovery se encontró con una versión alternativa de ella en el Mirror Universe, donde fue Emperadora del Imperio Terrano. Georgiou volvería más tarde al universo principal y se unió a la Sección 31.
«Estoy tan emocionada de continuar contando estas ricas historias de ‘Star Trek’. Ser parte de este universo y este personaje específicamente ha sido una gran alegría para mí.
