XCOM 2, disponible para PC desde febrero pasado, tardará un poco más de lo esperado en llegar a PlayStation 4 y Xbox One, pues Take-Two (desarrollador) anunció que la nueva fecha de lanzamiento es el 27 de septiembre (inicialmente sería el 6) del presente año.
Karl Slatoff, presidente de la compañía, explicó que las tres semanas de diferencia “servirán para pulir el producto final, y que todo el equipo se asegure de cumplir con las altas expectativas”. Slatoff también compartió buenas noticias para los usuarios de PC, ya que 2K y Firaxis Games no disminuirán su atención hacia dicha versión, por lo que continuarán ofreciendo contenido extra (gratis y pagado).
En cuanto a las mejoras que el título presentará en PS4 y Xbox One, el estudio asegura que podrán notarse en todo sentido, tanto visual como en su desempeño general. Además, incluirán algunas opciones y modos que no estuvieron disponibles cuando se lanzó para PC.
Take-Two también aprovechó para anunciar que sus ganancias incrementaron un 13% gracias a GTA V, GTA Online, NBA 2K16 y Battleborn, aunque el último no respondió como esperaban. Sobre los nuevos proyectos en los que está trabajando Rockstar se limitador a decir que “serán revelados muy pronto”.
