Al parecer Nintendo estaría trabajando ya no en Metroid Prime Trilogy sino en un remake de la primera entrega de Metroid Prime. Antes de prender las antorchas es importante conocer que esta información es un rumor y que no ha sido oficialmente confirmada por Nintendo.
Ahora bien, respecto al rumor han sido dos insiders con un buen historial de aciertos quienes han confirmado la información en Twitter. La primera en mencionar este cambio fue Emily Rogers quien expresó:
«Lo último que escuche es que Nintendo estaba ocupado en Metroid Prime 1 para celebrar el 20.° aniversario en 2022. No estoy segura si vamos a tener la trilogía o solo el relanzamiento del primer juego. Me inclino hacia lo segundo, pero espero que sea lo primero.»
A Rogers se le unió Jeff Grubb periodista de Venturebeat quien dijo:
«Creo que Nintendo relanzará Metroid Prime 1 en Switch en lugar de Trilogy. Ha estado trabajando en esto por años y cuando escuché al respecto por primera vez todos (incluyéndome) asumieron que era la trilogía.
Emily Rogers lo mencionó y, después de investigarlo, creo que tiene razón.»
Al parecer ya no estaríamos ante un remaster de la trilogía sino ante un remake y todo ello suena prometedor. La información puede ser encontrada en los perfiles de twitter de los insiders acá y acá.
