La película Blue Beetle seguirá a Jaime, quien en los cómics es el tercer personaje en asumir el papel de Blue Beetle tras la muerte de Ted Kord. Los informes sobre el casting de Maridueña indican que se espera que la película comience la producción a principios del próximo año.
